| Tell us something (blabla): | The c64 scene was never very big downunder, but I was very enthusiastic about it all the same. :) I setup a lil demo team with a school friend, FutureVision Designs, and we released a few mini-demos. They were quite stylish, even if a bit simple. After school, all my mates went off to uni, and as I had wasted my school years on c64 coding... I decided to find a 'local' team to join. Then I discovered the Sheppartron lads, Battery. Solar, Hawkeye, Gothic, Trojan, and I think I missed someone ;P They were producing demos on about the same tech level of myself, and obviously had a good team dynamic going. At that time, in 1990/91, there were only a few active democrews in Australia. We felt privileged in a way :) From then on, even from downunder, we managed to get onto the lower echelons of some euro charts. And we released several issues of our disk mag - Wanted. Well, stay tuned until I find more of our work. In the meantime, I will be reviving Battery as a new active team! Yay! Cheers! SpaciousD Formerly Slartibartfast/Battery |
